Bill and Shirley Boyd Board Walk

Leave Your Mark

The Point Clark Boat Club is launching an exciting fundraising initiative for all past, present and future families and friends of the area who wish to leave their mark at the Harbour.

The “Bill & Shirley Boyd Boardwalk” is being created at the Harbour, and Boat Club members are being given the first opportunity to have their names or memorial messages professionally engraved in the Boardwalk planks made of Azak composite. After March 1st the fundraiser will be rolled out to the community. All money raised will go towards the continued beautification of the Point Clark Harbour as well as help offset the rising cost to maintain the Harbour.

Update 2025

Our apologies but due to the rain forecasted for this Saturday May 17th the Point Clark Boat Club has decided to cancel the Boardwalk Unveiling. Instead of rescheduling the Unveiling to a later date and since we've all been waiting anxiously for over a year to see the Boardwalk, we will just open the Boardwalk this Thursday and invite you to come down to the harbour and check out your plank whenever it suits you. Thank you all for your support in this fundraising project.

Regards,

Monica

Director

Point Clark Boat Club

Update; The planks for the First Phase Boardwalk are currently at the Engravers and we are waiting on a timeline from them for completion of the engraving portion of the Boardwalk project.

The Boardwalk will be installed shortly after engraving has been completed. Plans are underway for an unveiling ceremony after completion. More details will be provided to all members as information

becomes available.

A “Phase 2” Boardwalk project will be considered once the current phase has been completed. The

“Phase 2” portion was approved at the Annual Meeting.

Currently we have a list of names for a “Phase 2” project. If you know someone who would like to be

included on the waiting list, please contact – Monica Hartman at mehartman@hotmail.com

Costs and structure are still to be determined. Costs will be higher as there will be additional

preparation required for “Phase 2”.

Update Sept 20th

 Hi Everyone.

After many delays and several hiccups, the boardwalk planks are finally engraved. Due to the extended time it took for the Engravers to complete the work, our timeline for installation and unveiling has been affected and instead of our intended unveiling this summer, we will wait until spring when more of you will be in the area to have the unveiling. We are looking at sometime in May around the long weekend and will advise you of the exact date and time once it becomes available. Thank you for your patience and your support.

Below are some Plank Pictures during the Engraving
